What was supposed to be a fun little staycation while I house-sat for my folks has quickly degenerated into a multi-day battle against some stomach/intestinal bug. Good times.

I drafted my first document today. It’s kinda a big deal to me that something that I wrote (and I use that term loosely, since the bulk of anything legal is completed via form) is actually used by the court. Even when I was writing affidavits as an expert witness that were part of the record, it just didn’t carry the same kind of weight for me that seeing my words on pleading paper did today.

I just wanted to write a quick note today about the Dads who raise other people’s kid on their behalf. Not just Stepdads and Fosterdads; but the teachers, parents of friends and uncles who step up and do the work and hardly ever get any credit.

God only knows where I’d be today were it not for you guys.
